Louisa received her Teaching Diploma from the Royal School of Music of London (L.R.S.M.), she then pursued her B.A. in Music from the Chinese University of Hong Kong followed by her MFA from UCLA.
Louisa approaches each student as an individual, lessons are catered to students' own interests and choice of repertoire. Students learn to play the piano by reading musical notes, understanding the theory and structure. They participate in evaluations, recitals and competitions. They also do community service by performing in retirement homes. Louisa inspires her students through her warmth and loving care.
Louisa has taught students of all ages and all levels. In addition to teaching, she serves as president of Music Teachers Associations, West Los Angeles Branch - a professional organization dedicated to excellence in teaching, performance, and music education. Louisa also chairs the prestigious Alice Kitchen Solo Competition and the Kathryn Gawartin Chopin Piano Competition, both of which are held annually.
Goal of her teaching - TO LEARN TO LOVE MUSIC and to cherish this skill throughout the life.
